Nosy Bear – 2D Sketchbook Animation

A simple approach to transition an idea into an animation… Sketch it, scan it, create layers / animate on the computer.

This method may not be for everyone although I can see how one could potentially accomplish more, to not be limited by technology… limited by technology? well, it does take more time to set up the components, characters, sets, of an animation using various different programs, etc. Another way of looking at it, is that it is a nicer looking animatic of an idea, without being slowed down by other setup processes.

It reminded me of something I read or heard somewhere (no longer recall where) that Robert Rodriguez said about how lack of resources can actually push you to develop an idea more creatively.

 

Software used: Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects
